10 WWE Entrance Themes That Were Originally For Someone Else

7. The Heavenly Bodies (The New Foundation)

Although they were regulars in Jim Cornette's Smoky Mountain Wrestling, The Heavenly Bodies were little more than a part time team in the WWF during the early-to-mid-1990s. Instead of creating a fresh theme for the heel duo, the WWF instead elected to re-air a song that hadn't been played to death on programming.

The short-lived 'New Foundation' team of Owen Hart and Jim Neidhart was supposed to recapture the magic of Neidhart's infamous Hart Foundation team with Bret Hart, but the union would only last a few months before the 'Anvil' left the company and Owen was repackaged.

Nonetheless, The New Foundation were the first ones to use the clunking sounds that would later be used by Cornette's invading tag-team.

Listen closely and you'll also be able to hear the foundations (pun intended) on which Owen's later 'High Energy' theme was built. That basic kick into snare beat became synonymous with the youngest Hart sibling throughout his career, even though it was also used by Tom Prichard and Jimmy Del Ray.
