Don't just take our word for it. Even WWE knew this one was doomed from the start, so much so that they ended up taking it off the Survivor Series card altogether at the last-minute, replacing it with Lesnar versus AJ Styles.

You really to have to wonder what exactly the company were thinking in putting it on the table to begin with. The two possible endings were either a complete burial of SmackDown's leading man or a long, drawn-out match nobody was really interested in.

Jinder simply didn't feel like a credible opponent for the Beast Incarnate. He had struggled his way through feuds with Randy Orton and Shinsuke Nakamura, and was nowhere near up to the task of a champion versus champion super-match at a big four show.

Incidentally, a champion versus champion super-match at a big four show is presumably supposed to set the fans' pulses racing. Well, this one didn't; in fact, the second it was announced, large swathes of them took to the internet to complain that it felt boring and uninspired. Talk about dead on arrival.
