10 WWE Feuds Doomed From The Start
8. Undertaker Vs. Diamond Dallas Page
While feuds in WWE are started for all kinds of petty reasons - Kane deciding to make Chris Jericho his mortal enemy after getting coffee spilled on him springs to mind - the motivation should at least make coherent sense.
Diamond Dallas Page's stated motive for stalking Undertaker's wife on his arrival in the company in 2001 really didn't. After revealing himself as the culprit, he told fans that he went to these lengths in order to make an immediate splash in his new stomping ground.
Few could really take the former WCW star seriously after such a weak introduction. If this was how Vince McMahon and co intended to book DDP, you wondered, had they actually seen the dude's work over on Nitro at all?
That's the other reason this was doomed from the beginning. Like all of the Invasion era feuds that pitted WWE stalwarts against recently acquired wrestlers from rival promotions, there was a depressing air of inevitability about who would come out on top.
