10 WWE Feuds Doomed From The Start
6. Rusev Vs. Dolph Ziggler
The fact that Rusev versus Dolph Ziggler was such a terrible feud was pretty incredible, considering that it featured Rusev and Dolph Ziggler, two wrestlers who can almost always be relied upon to deliver entertainment.
Then again, they weren't the only parties involved here. There was also Lana, who had separated from the Bulgarian Brute due to her sudden affection for one of his colleagues, and Summer Rae, who had stepped into her shoes as his new manager-cum-girlfriend.
The big reason this was doomed from the start was that everyone and their nan knew that the on-screen relationship previously shared by Rusev and Lana was still a thing behind the cameras. It was so much of a thing, in fact, that halfway through their supposed "break-up" they announced they were engaged.
Even if you set all that to one side, however, the storyline would still probably have fallen flat. The feeling just didn't seem to be there, and as with all WWE love triangles (or, in this case, squares) much of the acting seemed comically over the top.
