10 WWE Feuds That Flat Out Sucked

Rikishi Heel Turn

The words, "I did it for The Rock" will forever be ingrained into the memories of fans who lived through an atrocious attempt to turn fun-loving babyface Rikishi into the roster's meanest heel. Mere months after being one of the promotion's most popular names, Rikishi's appeal diminished when he was outed as the driver who mowed down Stone Cold at Survivor Series 1999.

Mick Foley's accusatory promo on the 9 October episode of Raw was bad enough. Then, writers thought it best to insert racism by having Rikishi claim he did it so his cousin could get a fair shake against Steve Austin, whom he described as 'The Great White Hope'.

Lovely, a turn nobody wanted and unnecessary allusions to segregation.

This all led to one solitary pay-per-view brawl between Rikishi and Austin at No Mercy. Afterwards, the WWF quickly shifted gears and revealed Triple H as the real mastermind anyway. Rikishi was blatantly only inserted so the company could fill a plot hole last-minute.
