10 WWE Feuds That Spanned Multiple Pay-Per-Views

6. Rey Mysterio Vs Eddie Guerrero (2005)

The 2005 storyline between longtime friends Guerrero and Mysterio mirrored so many of life's great conflicts, starting over competitive respect and ending with a ladder match over custody of the babyface's first-born son

After Mysterio defeated Guerrero clean in a clunky opener at Wrestlemania 21, the two briefly concentrated their efforts on the Tag Team Titles again before Eddie's jealousy over the defeat overcame him, leading to a vicious turn on his diminutive chum.

Losing again in a much better match at Judgment Day, Eddie then held a secret over Rey's head that he threatened to reveal unless Rey could beat him one more time at the Great American Bash.

Rey won another thriller, but like a d*ckhead, Eddie dropped the bomb all the same, letting the world know he was the real father of Rey's oldest son Dominick.

With Dominick hanging from the ceiling (not literally), the two contested the disjointed Ladder finale at Summerslam, as Rey won his fourth straight Pay-Per-View match against Eddie to conclude what would be their final ever programme.

Though probably not as creatively or critically satisfying as either would have liked, it felt fitting knowing Guerrero spent much of his final year working so frequently with one of his very best friends.
