7. The Undertaker Vs Randy Orton (2005)

Re-establishing his Legend Killer moniker in early 2005, Randy Orton pushed Undertaker to the limit when Wrestlemania went Hollywood in their first encounter, nearly halting the streak at a less cinematic 12-1 before succumbing to the Tombstone at the conclusion of an enjoyable midcard brawl.

After an injury briefly sidelined him in the months following the 'Show of Shows', Orton would be drafted to Smackdown in the summer and level things up with The Undertaker at Summerslam, stealing a win with the help of his returning father Bob Orton Jnr.

Collective thorns in Taker's side, the two would double up on the Undertaker again at No Mercy, becoming the latest fools to stuff the Deadman in a casket and try and burn him alive, like he hadn't survived that before.

Returning dramatically a month later, Undertaker vowed vengeance on both men, and took it conclusively at Armageddon inside Hell in a Cell.

A whopping nine months on from their original tussle, the magic had long gone between the two at this point, causing WWE to employ a number of hokey early-90s Undertaker plot devices on television to keep it fresh.

Worth scouting on YouTube, the memorable segment in which The Undertaker possesses Josh Matthews during an Orton interview almost justifies how long they spent at loggerheads that year.
