10 WWE Finishers That Don't Make Sense
2. Imploding 450
The former Mustafa Ali is another man who fell victim to an ill timed injury.
Coming into this year's WrestleMania, he was a hot commodity who was apparently being positioned in the Kofi Kingston spot going into Elimination Chamber - before a concussion spoiled his party.
Ali has an awesome look, cool entrance and his innovative ring work makes him stand out from the crowd. Yet, one glaring issue - that could be holding him back now that he is wrestling again - could be his awkward finisher.
Though not an issue when his opponent is laying directly beneath the turnbuckles, the imploding 450 or '054' doesn't exactly offer itself up to use outside of that environment. The point being that it isn't practical enough to be used in other parts of the ring, arena or other match types.
For example, could you ever see Ali performing the move off the top of a cage or off the top of the titantron? Potential injuries aside, the move deprives Ali of the chance to use it to milk high drama situations like a cage or ladder match and therefore hand-cuffing himself from ever using these match types to get himself fully over.
As a high flyer, you need to possess high octane moves that can pop the crowd - which Ali definitely does - yet in order to get himself back into serious title contention, he needs to develop a finisher that is a bit more adaptable and not too complicated to pull off in other match types.
