10 WWE Finishers That Don't Make Sense

3. S.O.S.

Prior to Kofi Kingston's fairytale crowning at WrestleMania 35, it was felt that he would never quite have enough in his toolkit to be considered a world champion.

But, that wasn't for want of trying.

Kingston tried a couple of changes over the years, feeling these could improve his chances of being considered in the main event bracket. He altered his attire, his attitude and sometimes even shifted to a different finishing move than his trademark Trouble In Paradise spinning kick.

This attempt being his S.O.S. finisher, which proved to be a failed experiment of a crowd-popping full stop. Tying his opponent's arm up, Kingston then tucked behind his enemy and flipped forward. This rotation resulted in the momentum spinning his adversary onto their neck/back and scored him the odd victory upon its inception.

The issue lay in its convoluted set up and the fact that it didn't look too punishing to be on the receiving end of.

A pretty sight it may have been, but there's a reason that Kingston won his WWE Title off the back of a well timed Trouble In Paradise and not the S.O.S. - which is now used as a transition move, instead.
