10 WWE Gimmicks I Loved (That Everybody Else Hated)

5. Prime Time Players

wwe.comwwe.comThe team of Darren Young and Titus O'Neil should have had a tag team title run before they broke up. It really sucked when O'Neil turned on Young earlier this year, then didn't really do much of anything after. What was the point of it? These two had something as a team that sometimes teams don't always have: chemistry. It's not like they were just thrown together either. Both guys spent time in NXT figuring things out, then they were paired up and it turned out that they really worked well as a team. They were also a team that had a connection with the audience. The "millions of dollars" dance they did was so basic that anybody could do it. Kids in the crowd would do it with them. Even old people did it too. That was their connection as a face team. As heels they were able to get over too. It always seemed like online fans didn't like them or didn't think of them as a team that should have had a bigger role. I felt different. If they were together in WWE right now they would be very serviceable as a face or heel team. Young has a knee injury that is keeping him out of the ring for months, but when he comes back I think WWE should put them back together. It's better than keeping them apart.
