10 WWE Greatest Royal Rumble Impulse Reactions

6. Can't Hardy Wait

Jeff Hardy and Jinder Mahal weren't around long enough to leave any kind of lasting impact on one of WWE's biggest ever cards, but the six minute run-time was just enough to not hinder a still-very-limited Jinder.

As stated elsewhere on this site in the last few days, the former WWE Champion is in a bit of a sweet spot at this point. His entire career can now be considered the lesser of two evils with that dreadful run atop the blue brand last year. Nothing he'll ever do will feel as insufferable as that reign did, including his rather dry brand of in-ring work. Has 2017's darkest days rose-coloured this relatively innoffensive slide to the midcard? Is Jinder Mahal now actually a safe pair of hands?!

If anybody was probably glad to have a night off from the relentless physicality, it was Jeff Hardy. Throwing himself into a brand new singles push (and a horribly botched Whisper In The Wind) with vim and vigour, the younger North Carolinian isn't wrestling as if only just back from injury, but was able to go over 'The Modern Day Maharaja' in pedestrian fashion and still generate megastar reactions. A gentle shove up the running order can't be far away in his future.
