10 WWE Heels Who Were Absolutely RIGHT!
1. The Miz (2016)
The Miz tearing Daniel Bryan a new one for daring to question his skills and dedication will forever be Talking Smack's most well-remembered segment. That 2016 rant put an edge on Miz's character, and it was fascinating to see Bryan sit there stunned before walking off because he had nothing to say back.
At the time, WWE portrayed Daniel as the dignified babyface, but that's not strictly true. In fact, he'd been consistently badmouthing The Miz and trying to undermine his work since becoming SmackDown GM. That rankled Miz so much, because he was Intercontinental Champ at the time and Bryan was yet to return from retirement as an active wrestler.
Truthfully, Dan was the one who started their beef by being rude to Miz every week and abusing his GM powers to do so. It was more convenient for WWE to portray Miz as a cowardly heel though, so that's the route they chose for follow-up episodes on TV. At Talking Smack, Miz was just defending himself.
He had a right to do so.
