10 WWE Heels Who Were Too Entertaining To Boo
8. Eddie Guerrero
If Eddie Guerrero's charm, charisma, and sublime wrestling ability didn’t reel you in, then his compelling backstory surely did. Known for his hectic personal life, Eddie was booted from WWE in 2001 after being arrested for drunk driving just six months after being sent to rehab. That should’ve been the end of him, but it wasn’t: Eddie cleaned-up his act, returned in 2002, and in 2004, he secured one of the most emotional WWE Championship victories in the sport’s history.
Guerrero spent a lot of time flip-flopping between face and heel, and while there were definitely periods where he was booed heavily, he always retained a big following. When he wasn’t playing a sympathetic WWE babyface, Latino Heat was killing it as a heel, and his cheating antics were oddly endearing.
It didn’t matter if Eddie was working face or heel: he was almost always a fan favourite. Guerrero knew how to tell a story on the mic and in the ring, and built an incredible rapport with the fans. His dirty tactics even bled into his babyface act from time to time, but the fans still loved him for it. Lying, cheating, and stealing has never worked out so well for a professional wrestler, and at the point of his untimely passing, Eddie was in a league of his own.
