Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns had the worst match of the night for the company's biggest prize, but it was as much a letdown for what they'd done in the past as it was for the relative inaction inside the red structure.

These are men - giant f*cking men - that did things to one another in 2017 you'd normally only see on silver screens rather than LCD ones backstage getting tipped on midcarders by Raw's former 'King of Things'.

Braun is an immediate irrelevance as a heel and the fan confusion around their former favourite hijacked this match as it will many others as long as WWE persist with their Dogs/Hounds canine conflicts. It was one thing for Roman Reigns to be 'The Guy' according to Vince McMahon, but it was quite another for the fans to have their Guy taken away in yet another flawed effort to facilitate it.

The best was yet to come of course, with 'The Hounds Of Justice' and 'Dogs Of War' set to do battle on top of the cell. Without that distraction, there may have been cause for complaint over Roman and Strowman selling a single spear for almost 10 minutes. Fortunately, yet another distraction was on the way...
