10 WWE High School Yearbook Photos The Superstars Don't Want You To See

5. Mick Foley

Mick Foley High School Yearbook Photo Yes that really is Michael F. Foley, or Mrs Foley's baby boy if you will. Foley was born in Bloomington Indiana on June 7, 1965. Shortly after he was born, Foley's family moved to East Setauket, New York, where Foley attended Ward Melville High School, playing lacrosse, and wrestling. Foley was a high school classmate of comic actor Kevin James and the pair were on the wrestling team together. While a student at State University of New York at Cortland, he hitchhiked to Madison Square Garden to see his favourite wrestler, Jimmy Snuka, in a steel cage match against Don Muraco. Foley has said that Snuka's flying body splash from the top of the cage inspired him to pursue a career in wrestling. Foley was trained at Dominic DeNucci's wrestling school in Freedom, Pennsylvania. He would drive several hours weekly from his college campus in Cortland, New York. He made his pro debut in 1983 for one of DeNucci's promotions. Foley appeared in some squash matches as a jobber for WWF TV tapings of Prime Time Wrestling and Superstars of Wrestling under the name Jack and Nick Foley. After a few years on the independent circuit appearing for numerous promotions, Foley signed for WCW in 1991. Cactus jack debuted as a heel and attacked Sting. Three years with Ted Turner's organisation was followed by spells with Extreme Championship Wrestling, Smoky Mountain Wrestling and some time in Japan. Foley returned to America and the WWF in 1996.
