6. Stone Cold Steve Austin

Stone Cold Steve Austin High Shcool Yearbook You wouldn't think a man with such luscious locks was capable of being the 'toughest S.O.B in WWE history.' Austin was born Steven James Anderson on December 18, 1964 in Victoria Texas. Austin's biological father left his family and his mother remarried. Austin openly refers to his step dad, Ken Austin, as his father and adopted his surname. Austin spent most of his childhood in Edna Texas and after finishing his schooling from Edna High School, he got a football scholarship at Wharton County Junior College, followed by a full scholarship at the University of North Texas. Austin dropped out of university a matter of hours before he was due to graduate to pursue his dream of being a professional wrestler. He joined Brit Chris Adams' school in the Dallas Sportatorium, where Adams also wrestled for World Class Championship Wrestling. Adams' training was purely technical, teaching Austin the moves, but nothing relating to kayfabe (still somewhat a guarded secret at the time) or business. Austin still though pro wrestling was 'shoot' fighting till he became one himself. Working for barely any month and surviving on a diet of raw potatoes, Stone Cold's first forays in the business were tough. He represented United States Wrestle Association for just over a year before being picked up by WCW. Eric Bischoff famously fired Steve via email four years later while Steve was injured. Paul Heyman took Austin to ECW where he solelt cut promos before signing for the WWF in 1995 as the Million Dollar Champion, The Ringmaster.
