10 WWE Legends Embarrassed By Their Own Matches

Damn, that's rough...

Successful pro wrestling matches rely on so many factors.

Crowd energy, great timing, superior in-ring psychology, cooperation/communication between skilled workers and an ability to adapt if anything happens to go wrong are all necessary, if bouts are to be remembered. Even the very best in the industry get it wrong on occasion though, and they're left palming foreheads in the aftermath.

Sometimes, there's actually nothing wrong with the meat of the match itself, but those involved look back with regret at even agreeing to work it in the first place. Maybe they were a fish out of water who had no business in such a lofty spot at that point in their careers, perhaps it was a quick cash grab they ended up lamenting, or maybe the match was poorly booked and left wrestlers scrambling to make it worthwhile.

These are the matches WWE legends would rather forget. They're agonising reminders that it doesn't take much to get embarrassed about a performance; one slip, one dodgy writer's decision or one ego trip can change everything.

Get ready to cringe along with them...
