10 WWE Legends Embarrassed By Their Own Matches

Time for some shared embarrassment.

At WrestleMania XX, both Bill Goldberg and Brock Lesnar looked like they'd rather be literally anywhere else on the planet than Madison Square Garden. Fans had been made aware that the pair planned to leave WWE immediately after the show, and so spent 100% of their time trolling both guys and only cheering for special ref Steve Austin.

The occasion was so humbling for Goldberg that he used it as fuel when launching his comeback in 2016 for another bout with Brock. The WCW squash-match king desperately wanted to put things right and go out on a high. 'Mania XX could never be considered a "high". It was the lowest of lows for two alpha males.

Goldberg hasn't made any secret about how humiliated he felt back in 2004. One of WWE's most respected audiences (the savvy New York masses) systematically tore him to shreds and made it obvious that he wasn't welcome in their company any longer.
