In fairness, neither Batista nor Kane were to blame for their match at Armageddon 2002 sucking. Both were hampered by the circumstances surrounding their first meeting, and there was absolutely nothing wrong with the idea that a veteran like Kane might be able to teach someone WWE had high hopes for a thing or two.

Batista's big moment came around two months after that nasty Katie Vick angle that made it hard for people to sympathise with Kane. Suddenly, a man WWE were about to thrust into top heel stable Evolution was up against a babyface who had (fans were told) performed sexual acts on a corpse several years ago. Read that again, then skip lunch.

With that kind of backstory, the pair had no chance at Armageddon. Add to that the fact their match fell after a classic between Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit, and it's not difficult to see why Batista doesn't talk much about his first supercard showing.
