Steve Lombardi, most famously known as The Brooklyn Brawler, was employed by the World Wrestling Federation, and later WWE, for 33 years. Despite wrestling for a majority of those years, The Brooklyn Brawler never made it into the Royal Rumble.

On a few early Royal Rumble cards, Lombardi wrestled in dark matches. The first one came in 1990 against Paul Roma prior to the Pay-Per-View airing, and the second one came two years later, in 1992, against Chris Walker. In news that should surprise no one, Lombardi lost both matches

While The Brooklyn Brawler is undoubtedly Steve Lombardi's most popular character, he also portrayed several other superstars over the years, most notably Abe "Knuckleball" Schwartz (aka the original MVP, not to be confused with Montel Vontavious Porter) and Kim Chee. Despite his longevity and ability to play multiple gimmicks, none of Lombardi's characters appeared in the Royal Rumble match,

Considering Lombardi's time with WWE, and the amount of Pay-Per-View events he was with the company for, it may come as a surprise to learn that the 33-year veteran never got to compete, even as a joke participant, in the 30-man Royal Rumble.
