10 WWE Legends Who Should Have Retired At WrestleMania
4. Triple H (vs Roman Reigns) WrestleMania 32
Unfortunately, 'The Game' was unable to choose how to end his storied in-ring career, as his severe health problems in 2021 meant that he had to promptly retire. Triple H maybe would have thought he had a few more opportunities to go out on his own terms, with his last official match being in 2019 for a WWE house show in Japan.
He at least got to face off against his former Evolution stablemates Batista and Randy Orton in the same year, which was somewhat nostalgic even if the matches went on for way too long. If given the opportunity to choose again, it is fair to say that the 'Cerebral Assasin' had a number of different matches that could have acted as his final one.
Despite it not being his best match, the significance of his WrestleMania 32 match against Roman Reigns would have been a worthy finishing point for the 'King of Kings.' HHH could have gone out on top of his game, in the main event of WrestleMania as WWE Champion no less, putting over the next generation's biggest star (even if fans weren't ready to embrace Roman just yet).
