10 WWE Match-Ups That Were Better In Another Promotion

2. Daniel Bryan Vs. Seth Rollins

It's hard to believe how infrequently Daniel Bryan and Seth Rollins have shared the ring for a single's match. Rollins and Bryan are beloved by the hardcore aficionados of the WWE, who appreciate athleticism over looks. For one reason or another, they've never had many encounters.

Their few matches usually revolved around outside presence. Rollins was flanked by Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns at ringside. After dumping them Seth hired J And J security, and then in an inversion of that, later on, Daniel Bryan would have his own help, with Rowan patrolling ringside.

Also perplexing is how these matches had been given away on TV, going through ad-breaks, and setup without the right build. This is a match that could potentially outshine everything else on any given card.

In ROH the bookers knew what they had on their hands. At New Horizons 2008 Tyler Black and Bryan Danielson fought for 20 minutes with zero frivolities. Danielson sadistically tortured Black with a litany of limb-tangling holds and enough kicks to cave his opponent's head in. Not to be outdone Black came at Danielson fast and ferocious, taking the action outside to smash Danielson's ribs into the barricade. The two showed why they would sign with WWE not long after this bout.
