WWE has run various angles and skits in the Parking Lot over the years, so much so that they've begun promoting a special feature on vehicular angles! As far as actual matches go, however, they are indeed few and far between. Many will remember the Triple H vs Steve Austin match from the 2000 Survivor Series ending ambiguously in the parking lot. In 1999, Steve Blackman and Ken Shamrock fought in an Iron Circle match in the parking lot, surrounded by a circle of cars. The most famous vehicular brawl however occurred on Smackdown in 2003 when US Champion Eddie Guerrero battled the heel John Cena. Yes, it has been that long. Whilst Guerrero and Cena had a great match, the reason for this match's scarceness is the very high potential for serious injury. Real broken glass from the wind-shields, the concrete floor underneath, wrestlers being slammed and back-dropped on the car bonnets and roofs, risking landing flush on the edges. The danger level in this match was very high. Imagine, if you will, that John Cena had suffered a crippling spine or neck injury in 2003? Everything would have changed!
