10 WWE Matches So Goofy They're Actually Great

1. Shawn Michaels vs. Hulk Hogan (SummerSlam 2005)

Goofiness and unprofessionalism have never been, and perhaps may never be again, so satisfying to watch.

After a multi-match program between The Showstopper and The Hulkster was scuppered by Hogan, leading to this one-and-done match where Hogan went over, Michaels took matters into his own hands.

Shawn's ridiculous overselling took what would've been a decent match (but nothing special) and turned it into something unforgettable.

By the time Hogan slammed Shawn's head into the turnbuckle pad and he sold it by doing a flip out of the corner, you realized you were watching someone go totally off-script.

And it became the funniest f-you in wrestling history. It was goofy in the extreme, not to mention confusing in the moment, but once you had the backstory, it became the stuff of legends. Petty, petty legends.
