On a show featuring the Battle of the Billionaires and John Cena vs Shawn Michaels for the WWE title, a decision was made to bump the World Heavyweight Championship match between Batista and The Undertaker to fourth in the running order of an eight-match card.

The story then goes that upon hearing of the PPV’s match order, Batista told news outlets that he and ‘Taker were planning to steal the show. And though many might’ve taken his bravado with a pinch of salt, the pair made a pretty good go of it.

Both guys pulled out all the stops in a match worthy of closing any show, with Batista even taking to the top rope for a flying tackle, before ‘Taker one-upped him with his signature dive to the outside – and at 44 years of age, too.

Add in a running powerslam spot from one announce table to the other, as well as all the big power moves from either man’s arsenal, and this was – at the time – surely the best of ‘Taker’s 15 matches on the WrestleMania stage.
