10 WWE Matches That Didn't Know When To End
1. Shane McMahon Vs. The Undertaker - WrestleMania 32
A Shane McMahon match should never, ever receive anywhere even close to half an hour.
While WrestleMania 32's main event of Roman Reigns vs. Triple H was the typical overindulgent Triple H match we've come to expect at such big shows, so too did Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker deliver the usual guff that we see whenever Shane O'Mac steps into the ring.
The Undertaker is one of the all-time greatest to ever lace up a pair of boots. WrestleMania is where the Phenom's star shines brightest. The Hell in a Cell structure is his playground. Yet still, Shane was made to look like The Undertaker's equal for so much of this 'Mania 32 contest.
Realistically, an early Last Ride should have been more than enough to put McMahon away. Then came the Deadman's Hell's Gate submission move, which Shane and his MMA expertise countered into a Sharpshooter. After that, going through a table still wasn't enough to keep Shane O' down. In fact, in a narrative sense, it was really only Shane McMahon who beat Shane McMahon on that 2016 night.
Deciding to take the high-risk road and dive off the top of the cell, only to crash and burn, that was what led to Shane's downfall in this match.
Remember, Undertaker has won championship gold with both the Last Ride and the Hell's Gate. But Shane McMahon is a McMahon, dammit, and thus this WrestleMania match was given a ludicrous 30 minutes - which was likely 20 minutes more than this contest should ever have been allocated.
