1. Damian Priest’s Split Personality
Damian Priest has done nothing outside Judgment Day all year, right? Wrong. Before linking up with Edge (and eventually turning on him to form a brand new JD), Priest was battling with inner demons and speaking in third person during promos. Hands up who remembers that?
Then-United States Champ Damian started this soft split personality gimmick in late-2021, but it continued into the new year. In promos, he'd talk about "keeping the Damian side in check", and warned that he was struggling to keep a lid on his other side. That sounds an awful lot like Bray Wyatt's current character.
It was all rather similar, albeit without the supernatural stuff with 'Uncle Howdy'.
WWE got cold feet on the idea before Edge recruited Priest as his minion in the original Judgment Day stable. The "good" side of his personality was totally shelved in favour of the "bad", and that was that. It was like this duelling identity angle never happened.
