10 WWE Moments From 2022 You Totally Don’t Remember
9. Robert Roode’s…Face Turn?
Sadly, Robert Roode has been benched for much of 2022 with injuries. Christ knows when he'll be back on WWE television, but it won't be anytime soon - he'd have to be Superman to return from neck fusion surgery quickly. Meanwhile, you'd have to be Megamind to to recall his babyface turn.
Roode and partner Dolph Ziggler reunited as a tag-team on the 6 June Raw and cut a promo about what they hoped to achieve. Spoiling the party, MVP and Omos said they were full of sh*t, so Ziggler blasted Porter with a superkick. That prompted Omos to chase the pair, and the Dawgs...ran away.
Creative didn't really follow up on this in any meaningful way before Roode was sidelined, so it was a waste of airtime. Pivoting, Dolph later launched into a brief face run opposite spoiled brat Austin Theory. That didn't lead to anything either.
Spotting a pattern here? This was all so forgettable.
