7. Drunk Hawk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9geNPA9zQPA Whenever WWE tries to incorporate someone's real-life personal issues into storylines it makes for uncomfortable viewing. The blurring of the line between truth and fiction can confuse fans and rarely makes for compelling TV. Nobody wants to see their heroes portrayed in that way. In accordance with the company's new Attitude, the larger-than-life Hawk was given a more 'adult' character that played off his struggles with drug and alcohol addiction. This was against the wishes of both members of the LOD, by the way. Hawk was shown wrestling on TV 'under the influence' and he began demonstrating suicidal tendencies. The whole torrid angle culminated in a truly awful and very uncomfortable piece of WWE TV. Hawk climbed the Titantron on Raw in order to kill himself. His tag partner and friends tried to talk him down but new LOD member Puke (Droz) pushed Hawk off the side of the giant screen, ostensibly killing him. The storyline explanation was that Puke had been enabling Hawk in order to get him into a position where he could murder him and take his spot tagging with Animal. Just absolutely awful on every level.
