10 WWE Money In The Bank 2021 Impulse Reactions

2. The Champ Is Here?

With SummerSlam set for Seth Rollins and Edge, it fell to Roman Reigns to cut a promo at the end of Money In The Bank and set his own mega match up.

The surprise - if one can call it that - didn't disappoint.

John Cena has been a rumoured August opponent for 'The Tribal Chief' for some time, but this confrontation served seemingly as silent confirmation that a No Mercy 2017 attempt to make Reigns as the company's new top star will be rebadged and replayed in a way that might actually work this time.

Fans, with some good reason, went absolutely f*cking mental for the return of 'The Champ'. His entrance music's first millisecond alone was enough to send the capacity crowd into hysterics not unlike those when the same thing happened at the 2008 Royal Rumble. WWE must line-up moments like these as often as possible in the next few months.

Based on the overall response to their weekly shows in the time the paying customers have been away, they'll need more to lure those same fans back. It was hard to fault this show-closing moment as the best possible start.
