10 WWE Nightmares Vince McMahon MUST Regret Booking
8. Shane McMahon Is “Best In The World”
Shane McMahon infamously p*ssed everyone off backstage by trying to book the 2022 Royal Rumble match around himself. It was a preposterous thought, and wasn't going to fly. Later, Vince fired his own son for chucking his weight around, but he only had himself to blame.
The 'Boy Wonder' received a baffling sustained push on TV between 2018-2019. That seemed to make Shane believe he was the next coming of Kurt Angle, and capable of working with all comers in hot, must-see matches. The truth, of course, was somewhat different.
Shane won an unfortunately-titled "Best In The World" trophy, and worked awful feuds vs. everyone from Kevin Owens to Braun Strowman. For his grand comeback, WWE stuck him in an impromptu 'Mania 39 match with The Miz, but he got injured and replaced by Snoop Dogg.
You'd think you couldn't write this stuff. Vince did, and appeared to fill his boy's head full of nonsense.
