10 WWE Opponents That Shawn Michaels Refused To Do Business With

1. Bret Hart

What would a Shawn Michaels-based list be without a Bret Hart mention, right? With Hart having dropped the WWF Championship to Michaels at Wrestlemania XII, the plan was for Shawn to reciprocate the favour at Wrestlemania XIII. Only Shawn didn€™t want to. At a time when he was notorious for not wanting to do jobs, HBK managed to get himself out of dropping the belt to Bret due to an apparent injury. That injury led to the whole €œlost me smile€ speech and forfeiting of the belt. Whilst the In Your House 13: Final Four match between Hart, Vader, Undertaker and Steve Austin was initially supposed to crown the #1 contender for HBK€™s title, it ended up being a match for the vacant strap. Bret would win that match but drop the gold the next night to Sycho Sid. Shawn€™s forfeit speech claimed that he was massively hurt and on the verge of retirement. Only he wasn€™t. In fact, after losing his smile in February he€™d be back by May€ just enough time to miss €˜Mania and a rematch with Bret.
