The final few moments of an 'Iron Man' encounter pitting The Rock against Triple H at Judgment Day in May, 2000 didn't come off as smoothly as those involved may have hoped, but some slight timing issues counted for little due to buzz surrounding The Undertaker's first on screen WWF appearance since September, 1999.

Riding a motorcycle to the ring as Kid Rock blared over the PA system, a revamped 'Taker had shed his 'Deadman' persona in favour of something new. Now known as the 'American Bad Ass', the supernatural elements of his well-established character were gone.

The reaction was booming when Undertaker hit the ring and demolished the McMahon-Helmsley Regime. Even aforementioned problems with the clock counting down to zero before the finish - and the fact 'Taker effectively cost Rock the WWF Title - didn't stop fans from going wild.

Vignettes had been playing on WWF TV for weeks, yet nobody suspected The Undertaker would re-debut at Judgment Day - certainly not as a completely new character.
