10 WWE Payback 2020 Impulse Reactions

5. Bayley & Sasha Banks (c) Vs. Shayna Baszler & Nia Jax

It took a bit of bargaining, but after a chronic backstage segment on Raw that put them together, Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax became worthy Women's Tag Team Champions thanks to the best WWE finish of 2020.

The Golden Role Models' magnificent run came to an ending as fantastic as their time with the titles. After an excellent outing between the two teams that somehow managed to babyface Sasha Banks on one side and Nia Jax on the other, 'The Queen Of Spades' showed some NXT-style dominance on the main roster for the first time with double submission on both the Champions forcing Bayley - not 'The Boss' - to tap out.

Banks' anguish was all over her face in the hold again as the pair departed, now only with one belt between them. A seriously f*cking fantastic conclusion to a match made better by the wrestlers in it as part of a longer form story that remains the company's best of the entire year, this was more restoratively excellent booking following on from their superb performances at SummerSlam.

Clash Of Champions beckons in September, though only one can hold Bayley's beloved SmackDown prize.
