How in the world could Vengeance 2002 possibly lift fan spirits? Steve Austin had publicly walked out on the company one month earlier, and King Of The Ring '02 had been a slow, ponderous three hours that would've been a disaster without Brock Lesnar's tournament win or Kurt Angle's entertaining exploits alongside Hulk Hogan.

Hopes weren't high heading into Vengeance.

Oh ye of little faith, said WWE. The opening elimination-style Tag-Team Tables scorcher got things moving nicely, and other mid-card goodies like Jamie Noble vs. Billy Kidman, Chris Jericho vs. John Cena and RVD vs. Lesnar were all nicely done.

A quick one-two punch of Hogan and Edge vs. The Un-Americans and one of the best Triple Threat mains in company history ended the card on a high. Honestly, if you've never seen The Rock vs. The Undertaker vs. Kurt Angle, then you need to. Now.
