What You Remember: E-C-DUB! E-C-DUB! The chants, the atmosphere and the power of the original ECW were back in force for a night nobody could ever forget. This was Extreme done right, and it expertly married the majesty of Paul Heyman's original vision with superior WWE production.

Reality: Some will throw a tantrum over this one's inclusion, but it just doesn't hold up as well as one might expect 15 years on. There are a surprisingly lack of truly excellent matches, and they're all shorter than they seemed at the time (only two went longer than 10 minutes - hardly damning, but that definitely hurt the epic feel).

As much as the atmosphere, setting and production ruled, the in-ring action didn't. It was kinda' like a running commentary on ECW's strengths and weaknesses, actually. The original was hardly renowned for world class wrestling, and it relied heavily on crowd participation.

Interesting, but flawed.
