10 WWE Predictions We Got Completely Wrong In 2018
7. "205 Live Will Be Cancelled"
When WWE surveyed fans on 205 Live around this time last year, it seemed as though the writing was on, if not the wall, then certainly the ceiling for the crew of high-flyers.
Between taping the show before an exhausted audience after SmackDown, regularly relegating the title to the pay-per-view preshow - if it featured at all - and using the purple brand as a borstal for unruly talent such as Enzo Amore, WWE were effectively letting 205 Live twist in the wind before the other pleather boot eventually dropped.
Surprisingly, that survey wasn't designed as confirmation bias for a Network cancellation, but actual market research. Since taking over the brand, Triple H has worked some of his NXT magic, turning a confused and directionless diversion into one of the company's most consistent shows. When he's not literally pissing himself on the main roster, Drake Maverick has proved a rare example of an authority figure done right, whilst the 205 talent have been allowed to excel at what they're good at - actual cruiserweight matches.
205's alive, and booming. Pity nobody watches it still.
