5. Steve Austin vs. Brian Pillman (King Of The Ring 1997)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pmsdz29_dv8 From an in-ring standpoint, WWF's King of the Ring 1997 PPV had the chance to be a truly standout event. One of the two matches that we could've seen on that show involved Austin wrestling ex-WCW tag partner in the Hollywood Blonds and then WWF villain with whom he was feuding Brian Pillman in a one-on-one match. However, prior to the event Pillman re-injured his surgically repaired ankle and the match had to be postponed.
While Pillman was considerably limited as a performer post ankle injury, it's entirely possible that he and Austin could've had a more than entertaining brawl.
