From @DanMountSports: Why isn't WWE making more of a stink over Alberto Del Rio using a similar gimmick in Ring of Honor?
There are two answers for this one: 1) There's not much a guy can do in another company. 2) They are probably worried about him suing them for how he was fired, so they are probably just going to avoid it and move on like he has. When Del Rio got fired, there was a lot of concern that he might sue WWE because it's pretty stupid that he got fired. A WWE social media employee made racist comments about him. Del Rio hit the guy in the face pretty hard and he got fired? He was the victim of racism. He should stand up for himself. At first he was going to get fined, but then they changed their mind and suspended him. Maybe WWE is mad that he's going by the name Alberto El Patron and doing a gimmick that's similar in ROH, AAA and elsewhere, but at the same time there's really nothing that they're going to do about it. Alberto has moved on and so has WWE.
