It's a fair question, but this is one of those things where we should never really complain about the crowd. The business is all about entertaining the fans and doing whatever you can to keep them interested in the product. If the crowd boos a segment or turns on a wrestler that's because that person is failing at what they are doing. It's up to that wrestler and the creative team to fix it, not the fans. What can you do to stop it? Mute the fans during the broadcast? That wouldn't be good. If you watch WWE programming at its best and we can use that 1998 to 2002 Attitude Era as an example, the crowd was pretty loud during most of the segments. You didn't hear random chants or the fans chanting the names of the announcers because they are bored with what's in the ring. It's pretty simple. If the in-ring product is better, the crowd will pay attention and won't chant random thing unrelated to the action.
