10 WWE Questions You Most Want Answered (Jan 17)

6. WWE Licensing Shows Hurting WWE Network?

From @steve3389: How long will WWE Stockholders bear w/ WWE licensing shows like Total Divas, Tough Enough, Main Event when the Network is starved for content?
That's a very interesting question. WWE needs more original content on WWE Network to make people want to subscribe to it, but they are in a tough spot since they are trying to save money. They get paid to produce Total Divas by E Network and they will get paid by USA Network to produce Tough Enough too. They aren't in a position right now where they can turn down money to produce shows. While I'm not a stockholder, my feeling is that they should be happy that WWE is getting paid to produce shows because it's bringing in money that otherwise wouldn't be there. Total Divas has been a huge success even though it can be difficult to watch sometimes due to some of the ridiculous stories they have. The story with Main Event is confusing because now it's going to end due to contractual issues with Sky in the UK, so it's going to prevent them from even taping it or airing it on WWE Network. Anything that brings in money should make stockholders happy. Losing money due to WWE Network costs definitely upset them, but adding more TV shows on cable TV is a plus.
