In case you missed the reference, Triple H said he wanted NXT to become another top brand in WWE and said he wanted it to be their WCW. It's a lofty goal. It was Hunter's way of saying it's going to be more than just some developmental show. In reality, it's still going to be seen as a developmental show as long as it's on WWE Network. A lot of fans still don't watch NXT. They should, but because it's only on WWE Network that hurts it's standing in the eyes of a lot of people. When you compare NXT to Raw in terms of being a quality show, NXT is better than it a lot of the weeks. It's also only one hour long, features newer characters that are still developing and because of that it feels fresh. An average show for one hour is going to be seen as a better show than an average one for three hours, so that's why NXT is better in some ways.
