7. Promoting Big Guys Too Much

From @BradEssex: Have the WWE made a mistake in promoting big guys as champions when smaller guys are better at promos and in ring?
They have always promoted the bigger guys and always will. The mentality of wrestling promoters has always been that they want to showcase the guys that stand out from the pack instead of the guys that "look normal" because being different is what sells. It's great that there have been successful smaller guys in recent years like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan. There have also been awesome smaller guys in the past like Chris Jericho, Eddie Guerrero, Rey Mysterio and the best of them all, Shawn Michaels. There are so many others too. There's no reason for WWE to abandon the idea of pushing the bigger guys. All we can hope for is that more of the "smaller" guys keep getting a chance. As long as there's a good mix that's what matters. For the most part, WWE is doing a good job of balancing the roster and featuring those smaller guys in important roles. In professional wrestling, the size of the performers will always matter. However, it seems to matter less these days and that's a good thing for the business long term.
