From @Disable_MMi: Why did WWE pull Sting from SummerSlam and where does he show up next?
It was a classic case of WWE changing their minds even though they had already shot advertising for Sting to be at SummerSlam. He's even apparently in great shape right now, yet WWE didn't feel like bringing him into the show because of Erick Rowan's torn bicep. If Rowan was healthy, WWE likely would have went ahead with the plan to have Sting team up with Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose against the three Wyatt Family members. Since he's out, WWE didn't want to turn somebody into a Wyatt Family member with names like Adam Rose and Bo Dallas rumoured for it. As for what's next for Sting, nobody really knows. I think an appearance or match at Survivor Series makes a lot of sense since that's where he debuted last year. At WrestleMania he could have a match or be honored in the WWE Hall of Fame. What bothers me about the whole thing is that Sting is 56 years old, got a great reception when he was on WWE TV and put on a solid match with Triple H at WrestleMania, yet WWE isn't willing to use him. They should have found a way to get him in a match. Maybe he'll appear as a surprise, but not using him in a match is a bit of a mistake because older fans would have loved it.
