8. What's The Best Ever Non-Rumble Match At A Royal Rumble?
Two candidates really stand out for me, the first being Triple H vs. Cactus Jack at the 2000 event. The year was kicked off by an unspectacular Rumble, for sure, but the WWF Championship match utterly stole the show as Hunter and Foley took one another to the edge.
It's one of the best street fights in WWE history, easily, and the first leg of Mick's retirement tour. A rematch at No Way Out was similarly dramatic, but his immediate return for WrestleMania 2000 was a booking step too far.
The second in my mind is the triple threat from 2015: Brock Lesnar, John Cena and Seth Rollins showing everyone how to masterfully craft a three-way bout. It was also the match where, at least in my mind, Seth Rollins stopped being an upper midcard prospect and began his utter takeover of 2015.
