2. Mixing Comedy And Being Serious In Wrestling?

From @duddshaw: Who was the best at mixing comedy and seriousness in wrestling? @RealKurtAngle for me.
There are so many names that come to mind with Kurt Angle right near the top for sure. Others that come to mind are The Rock, Chris Jericho, Steve Austin, Edge & Christian together, Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Mick Foley and a few others. What do all of those guys have in common? They were all around during the Attitude Era at a time when WWE's writing was better, which includes the comedy aspects of the show. They still do comedy stuff in wrestling today and sometimes it works, but it's not as funny as it used to be. The stuff that Angle and Austin did when they were heels working together with Vince McMahon in the summer of 2001 are some of the most classic comedy bits ever. The cowboy hats, the guitars and the facial expressions are so memorable and make me laugh whenever I think of them. The Rock is probably the funniest wrestler ever. He also usually found a way to do a comedic promo for about two minutes and then turn on the seriousness for the final 20 seconds to sell whatever match he was promoting. It's a gift that few wrestlers have ever had.
