Both! I know that's a copout answer, but it's really true because a guy as talented as Samoa Joe is useful in any role he's in. For the short term, they need him in NXT. With Sami Zayn and Hideo Itami out with injuries, plus Kevin Owens getting promoted to the main roster, they need more big names on the NXT brand right now. Joe definitely fits in well there for the next few months. Long term, Joe should be a regular performer on WWE's main roster because he's an experienced wrestler that has a lot of credibility in everything he does. Whether he's a heel or a face, he should be successful in WWE as long as they give him chance. It makes sense for Joe to be on NXT for now. However, if he is still there at the end of this year that will be a surprise because he should be on the main roster.
