From @Freaksteil: Do you think WWE will want someone to beat CM Punk's record setting title reign, and who do you think would do it?
It's honestly one of those things that I haven't thought about in a while. When I read the question it reminded me about Punk's 434 day WWE Title reign, but he's been gone for over a year and it's never mentioned that it's not something really worth thinking about in 2015. The other key point about it is that it's not like he set some record with it. There were others before him, namely Hulk Hogan, with longer runs in the modern era. Punk's run was one of the longest title reigns in the WrestleMania era, but it was not record setting. In terms of somebody else beating that number in the near future, it seems unlikely that WWE will do that this year. Roman Reigns might be the next champion, but then he's probably going to drop it to Seth Rollins while the likes of Daniel Bryan, Dean Ambrose and others are looming as possible future champions. Then there's long time favorites of Vinny Mac like John Cena and Randy Orton still around. With only one WWE Title in place, the chances of somebody topping CM Punk's 434 day WWE Title reign seems unlikely unless they want to keep it on Lesnar for a really long time.
