8. Others Stepping Up For NXT?

From @JBHuskers: With Hideo Itami and maybe Sami Zayn going down, who needs to step up in the main event picture with Tyler Breeze and Finn Balor?
The shoulder injuries to both Hideo Itami (out 6-8 months because he needs surgery) and Sami Zayn, who we assume will be out for months as well, are devastating for NXT. It's bad timing since Zayn was set to main event NXT Takeover on May 20 and Itami was in the second biggest match to determine the #1 contender, which he probably should have win. What WWE will have to do is elevate some people fairly quickly. Samoa Joe is coming in likely at the end of June, so he's a guy they can push quickly. Uhaa Nation, who likely won't be using that name, was featured in a video package on NXT, so they could push him as soon as he debuts as well. They have some guys on the roster currently that are skilled enough to warrant push. Tye Dillinger comes to mind. He's doing a "Perfect Ten" gimmick at the moment. Baron Corbin would likely step up although he's still green. Solomon Crowe has a lot of potential too. Another thing WWE might do to help fill the void is bring in some guys from the main roster to put them in a feud with somebody like Kevin Owens or others in order to keep things fresh. Most likely we'll see Balor feud with Owens a bit more and maybe Tyler Breeze could go babyface although he's better in the heel role. The news about those injuries sucks and has me very sad because I'm a huge fan of those guys. It's going to hurt NXT just because it's hard to lose top guys like that and not miss a beat.
