From @WrestleMike: When Lana splits with Rusev, what does creative do with him?
It's a very good question because he's going to be in danger of becoming irrelevant without her around. He's too good of a performer for that to happen. Last week I wrote about the ways that feuding with Cena has hurt Rusev not because I'm anti-Rusev. I think he's great. It's just that feuding with Cena and likely losing three times in a row to him is going to be very damaging. Hopefully there's a plan. Maybe they are doing this with Rusev because they plan on having him win the Money in the Bank briefcase in June as a way to elevate him to that main event level. He could cash in later in the year, become WWE Champion and go from there. If not, it's going to be difficult for the guy. There are plenty of faces for him to feud with at least. While I agree with WWE in thinking that Lana can be a huge star, I'm not sure the time is right. Rusev has been on the main roster for about a year and they're already going to change his act in a major way by taking her away from him. It doesn't seem like the right move at the right time.
